Join New Zealand's most promising industry

Which industry in New Zealand has the greatest room for growth? Which has the biggest shortage of talent? Which offers the highest pay? Everyone will have their own answers, but if you ask us, we would definitely say construction!

High pay! According to job website Trade Me Job, demand for construction workers has pushed average construction pay in Auckland up 21% since June 2016, with the average annual salary reaching $99,000 in 2017.

Great prospects! The latest statistics show that new dwelling consents issued in New Zealand in the first 5 months of 2018 reached a 44-year high for that period. Housing and Urban Development Minister Phil Twyford said strong growth in building consents showed continuing confidence in the construction industry's development. From January to May this year, 13,390 new homes received building consent, the strongest start to a year since 1974.

Plenty of opportunities! To ease recruitment difficulties in construction, the Government recently added 7 construction-related occupations to the Immediate Skill Shortage List (ISSL). To encourage more people into New Zealand's construction industry, choosing construction offers both a fast track to immigration and access to the Fees Free Initiative.

So here is the question:
