Since September 2018, several more companies and partner organisations have joined the New Zealand Chinese Building Industry Association (NZCBIA).

To celebrate its continued growth and welcome new members, the association held an evening networking event at b+d clubroom on 9 May, bringing new and existing members together. Nearly 50 people from more than 30 businesses in construction, property development and media attended.

The event was hosted by the association’s secretary-general, Huang Haixin. Association president Xu Li delivered a welcome address and reiterated the New Zealand Chinese Building Industry Association’s (NZCBIA) aims:

Maintain and improve standards in New Zealand’s building industry

Enhance the overall image of the Chinese building industry

Build a broad platform for New Zealand’s Chinese building industry

Promote constructive cooperation across the industry’s supply chain and among professionals

Secretary-general Huang Haixin introduced the association’s new company members and partner organisations. Business representatives also introduced themselves, expressed their appreciation and thanks for the association’s support, and voiced confidence in the industry’s future development.

New and existing members alike expressed their willingness to participate more actively in and support the association’s work, drawing on their businesses’ needs and professional strengths.
